SIDER C.N.D. is a service company that is engaged in execution of non-destructive tests of welds, castings, forgings, rolled and other in the marine, carpentry, chemical and petrochemical industry either in yard, by the use of authorized vehicles for the transport of radioactive material or in workshop within their bunkers.
Thanks to consolidated experience of its engineers, trained and qualified in accordance with EN ISO 9712 and SNT-TC-1A and the ongoing need for modernization, our company has for the main purpose to satisfy the different needs of the clients with great flexibility and speed of intervention.
SIDER C.N.D. can use a site of about 1000 square meters in which were built three bunkers for the use of X-Ray equipment (emitting directional and panoramic beam) and gamma (radioactive isotopes such as Iridium – 192, Selenium -75 and the Cobalt – 60), a darkroom and technical offices used for the evaluation and certification of the final product.
The company is also able to perform thickness measurements , conventional ultrasonic controls (A- scan) and unconventional (Phased Array) , magnetic particle inspections, liquid penetrant inspections, chemical analysis of materials “on site” by OES and XRF equipments, visual inspection, leak detection by the use of the vacuum box and analysis of the percentage of ferrite.
